HUNTS & PRIZES
I came across a hunt in SL the other day, figured I would give it a try ... cuz I luvz me some free stuff! Went to the hunts site http://cupcakesanonymoushunt.tumblr.com/
A most unhelpful link, the shops in the hunt did not have a link to port you to the slurl of each shop, that means if you didn't want a certain item and wished to skip it you would have to go back to that site, copy the name of the next shop you did wish to go to and search for the location yourself. A SLurl for everyone who doesn't know is simply a text link to places in SL you want to travel to.
Anyway, you should know what items you would want or do not want to hunt for by looking at them on the Hunt Prize Images link naturally, however that link is dead and just sends back Not Found The URL you requested could not be found error.
I am by no means dissuaded and push on bcuz I still luv the free stuff!
I get to the starting point and locate the first little cuppycake, click it and then....

THAT is NOT a "prize"!!!!
OK I know its not much, however 50 stores @ 5 L a hit adds up fast and there is still the fact that I'm not willing to pay for something sight unseen [remember the sites Hunt "Prize" Image page is dead] Main thing irksome detail though is that paying for something called a PRIZE is bullshite!
Prize = A thing GIVEN as a reward.
Given = Bestowed as a GIFT
Gift = A thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present.
So even a 1 L hunt "prize" is NOT a prize! Perhaps hunt organizers who make you pay should start calling their hunt "prizes", hunt items instead!
Sure setting up hunts and making the items takes time and effort, however, I think the fact that people working through the hunt have to search for the 'prize' and in so doing might find other things for sale they maybe possibly buy, or just generally like the shop and take LM's to visit in the future its a great advertizement for their stores so that should negate the extra 1 -5 L money grab.
1-10 L "prize hunts" are just cheesy ways to get more money for something that should be given freely!

YAY something more to rant about [there is always something]
Hello and welcome to the wonderful world of WTFidy are these tossers thinking!!
Today it is all about these old fucks who think their flexi prim kak is still worth anything!
I came across this one shop in Marketplace and had just had to see for myself in world what they could possible be thinking to still have their garbage designs listed for 599 L for an ugly old flexi dress and, get this...450 L for quite possibly the worst looking pair of boots I have EVER come across in SL but you be the judge ...
Now just in case you doubt me, and cant see the price tag on these beauties I have blown it up from the above picture here it is below...
Now I know you think thats just too hilarious...but WAIT, it gets so much better!

Ugly...just plain ugly
OK, I was hunting for great mesh avatards so I did a search in marketplace and I found some amazingly HORRID stuff I just had to post about! I figured I would share just 3 of the terrible things people are putting out for sale. I think the most hilarious part about these 3 works of SHITE is the PRICE, its just INSANE! Anyway you be the judge...
Lets start with a general WTF was this person thinking, putting this mess up for sale and seriously how insane are they marking it at this price....
I remind you these crazy prices are for SHAPES ONLY, no skins or clothes!
Next we have an ok(ish) looking avatard for the older set, you know, the ones who max out all sliders for height and reverse the pattern for weight so you are basically left with a bloody pole you can use to pick the crud between your teeth with!
10,999???? FOR A SHAPE???? The worst part about this advert is the fact someone actually paid that INSANE price for it : /
Lastly, these are two separate shapes but I shall classify them as one since I seriously couldn't tell the difference, only changes I could see were the price and the level of Homo erectus, or lack there of if your sexual inclination is NOT geared to being completely GAY! They both are equally fucked up looking, equally NOT worth the cost, and equally CRAP!
In most cases someone has made a review on these shapes, and in all cases they glowed with praise...this means that they made an alt to buy their own garbage and post a great review because no sane person would think any of this work (and I use that term VERY loosely) is worth 1 L let alone the crazy prices these people are asking for!
Anyway, that's my rant for this week.
